Holds felt hats over flame to burn away protruding hairs prior to finishing operations: Depresses pedal to release steam from jet and holds and turns hat, mounted on block, in current of steam to moisten felt. Activates gas jet and turns hat in flame to burn away protruding hairs without scorching felt. May place hat body on revolving block to burn off excess fuzz or lint.
